These projects, revealed during the Pragati Yatra in Patna district, are designed to enhance road connectivity, mitigate traffic congestion, and promote regional development.
The initiatives encompass the development and expansion of the road with underground drainage from Rupaspur Canal to Saguna Mor along both sides of Nehru Path, the widening of the AIIMS Golambar–Janipur–Naubatpur road, and the construction of a new 1.015 km flyover at Naubatpur Lakh on the Naubatpur–Masaurhi road at a cost of Rs 73.06 crore, along with the widening and fortification of Nehru Path to Gola Road.
Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for the extension of Rupaspur Canal Path to Khagaul Nehru Path–Ashok Rajpath and the connectivity between Nehru Path and Patali Path.
Among the notable projects, the CM initiated the two-lane widening and strengthening of the AIIMS Golambar–Janipur–Painapur–Neva Junction section of the Bihta–Sarmera Patna Ring Road, covering 10.5 km at a budget of Rs 138.5 crore.
During the event, Nitish Kumar stated that connecting Neva to the Bihta–Sarmera road will greatly facilitate traffic flow for residents of Phulwarisharif, AIIMS, Danapur, Naubatpur, and western Patna.
“The construction of the Naubatpur Lakh flyover will liberate residents from chronic traffic snarls, making travel to Masaurhi much more convenient. This will also catalyze industrial, economic, and social development in the area,” he remarked.
Subsequently, Nitish Kumar laid the foundation for a connectivity link between Digha–AIIMS Patali Path and Nehru Path towards Danapur, with an investment of Rs 143.86 crore.
He emphasized that this link would especially aid residents from Digha to Khagaul, enhance the traffic system, improve access to JP Setu and AIIMS, and alleviate congestion on Nehru Path.
