Patna, Jan 20 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, on Tuesday lauded the initiatives of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department and introduced significant reforms aimed at making land measurement more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly.
In a recent post on X, the Chief Minister reflected on the establishment of the new state government on November 20, 2025, when the Seven Resolutions–3 (2025-30) program was launched with the aim of elevating Bihar to one of the most developed states in India.
Shedding light on the essence of the seventh resolution, 'Respect for All – Easy Living', Nitish Kumar articulated that its core focus is to alleviate the daily challenges faced by citizens and enhance the accessibility and responsiveness of governance.
He highlighted that the delays in land measurement following application submissions often lead to inconvenience and unnecessary disputes over land.
“To tackle these challenges and achieve the goal of ‘Respect for All – Easy Living’, several crucial decisions have been made to streamline the land measurement process, ensuring it is simpler, more transparent, time-bound, and centered on the citizen,” the Chief Minister stated.
As part of this initiative, all outstanding applications for land measurement will be resolved by January 31 through a dedicated land measurement campaign.
Beginning April 1, land measurement will be finalized within seven working days for undisputed land and within 11 working days for disputed land, once the applicant pays the required measurement fee.
Upon completing the measurement within the designated timeframe, the surveyor will be required to upload the measurement report on the specified portal by the 14th day from the application date.
To guarantee strict compliance with these timelines, the Revenue and Land Reforms Department will allocate necessary personnel and resources, along with a robust system for monitoring and supervising the entire process.
Expressing his optimism regarding this initiative, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar remarked, “I am entirely confident that this move to simplify the land measurement process will greatly benefit the people of the state and ease their daily lives.”
The Chief Minister also encouraged public participation by inviting citizens to share their feedback on the new system by January 25 through the official channels.
