The suspect was identified as Abhishek Kumar, son of Santosh Rana, also known as Manoj Sharma, residing in Bhelwa Ward No. 7.
He was detained during a raid in a grove located within the Bhelwa Ward No. 7 area.
Law enforcement indicated that the accused was actively engaged in illegal activities, particularly the drug trade, through which he allegedly accumulated vast illicit wealth.
Consequently, a proposal for the confiscation of his assets under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) is being processed.
The Saharsa Superintendent of Police praised the raiding team for their efforts and reiterated that such operations will persist to combat crime and uphold law and order in the district.
