Amaravati, Jan 18 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Sunday, honored the memory of the late former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao on his death anniversary, asserting that NTR transformed the trajectory of history through his unmatched welfare and development initiatives.
The national leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) reflected on NTR's contributions both as a prominent actor and a formidable political figure.
Chandrababu Naidu, son-in-law to NTR, took to 'X' to commemorate the impactful pro-poor policies established by the late leader.
“Today, on the 30th death anniversary of the extraordinary leader, the man of the era, the champion of the underprivileged, ‘Anna’ Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, I extend my heartfelt tributes to his great soul,” CM Naidu expressed.
“‘Anna’ NTR, who radiated like a beacon in the cinematic world and was a relentless force in politics, was a heroic figure who reshaped the history of many generations. We will always remember him for his efforts to elevate the self-respect of the Telugu populace,” said the Chief Minister.
Naidu emphasized that NTR altered the course of history with remarkable welfare programs, including two-rupee rice, social security pensions, permanent housing construction, free electricity for farmers, local self-governance through the Mandal system, property rights for women, and significant irrigation and drinking water initiatives for Rayalaseema.
He regarded the TDP founder as a source of inspiration and noted that the path he paved is worthy of following.
Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, also paid his respects to NTR, the previous Chief Minister of the united Andhra Pradesh.
Union Minister for Civil Aviation, K. Ram Mohan Naidu, also utilized 'X' to honor NTR.
