He reflected on N.T. Rama Rao's (NTR) significant contributions to society and the film industry.
“I extend my heartfelt homage to NTR Garu on his birth anniversary. He is widely celebrated for his efforts to uplift society and empower the marginalized. His cinematic achievements continue to captivate audiences. We draw immense inspiration from him. The NDA Government in Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of my friend Chandrababu Naidu Garu, is committed to realizing NTR’s vision,” the Prime Minister posted on ‘X’.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also took to X to honor NTR on his 102nd birth anniversary.
CM Naidu referred to NTR as a legendary figure, a globally acclaimed actor, and a revered symbol of pride for the Telugu community, as well as a social reformer who charted a new course for welfare.
“The valiant hero Anna NTR viewed addressing the three fundamental needs of the impoverished—food, shelter, and clothing—as his life’s mission. He was a visionary who redefined democracy with the mantra, ‘Society is the temple, and the people are the gods.’ Whether it was granting property rights to women, decentralizing governance through the mandal system, supporting the poor with permanent housing, or providing rice at two rupees per kilo to combat hunger—every initiative he undertook was driven by a steadfast resolve to see the Telugu people thrive with dignity,” posted the TDP president.
“He was not merely a historical figure; he was a monumental presence who made history. If the Telugu Desam continues to shine today, it is solely due to his blessings. We strive tirelessly to fulfill the aspirations of that great soul, progressing toward an equitable society. Once again, I extend my deepest tributes to Anna Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, who achieved countless extraordinary contributions,” Naidu added.
