Key Takeaways
Chandigarh, Feb 15 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, spoke at the 'Viksit Sohna Tauru-Rally' in Tauru, located in the Nuh district, on Sunday. He highlighted that this area, surrounded by the majestic Aravalli mountains, is renowned for its hardworking, self-respecting, and resilient population.
He remarked, "The soil of Mewat has consistently honored the values of courage, sacrifice, and dignity. From the First War of Independence in 1857 to the nation's ultimate freedom, the contributions of the people from this region are forever inscribed in history's golden pages."
Offering his greetings on Mahashivratri, the Chief Minister mentioned that this sacred festival serves as a moment to connect with the life teachings of Lord Shiva. "Mahashivratri reminds us that in times of darkness, we must ignite the lamp of self-reflection."
He expressed hopes that this festival would bring health, peace, strength, and success to every home, guiding the people’s efforts with energy and wisdom.
Before the public meeting, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 16 development initiatives totaling Rs 47.36 crore.
During his address, CM Saini pointed out that the remarkable turnout at the rally “demonstrates the community's strong belief in the BJP government's intentions, policies, and welfare programs.” This trust, he said, has allowed the Bharatiya Janata Party to serve Haryana for a third consecutive term.
He assured that every effort would be made to ensure rapid and inclusive development in the area.
Focusing on the progress in the Sohna Assembly constituency, Saini noted that over the last 11 years, 62 announcements made by the Chief Minister for the region have yielded results, with 49 completed and 13 ongoing.
He added that Rs 1,515 crore has been allocated to development works in the Sohna constituency over the past 11 years, contrasting with just Rs 222 crore spent during the previous Congress government's decade in power. Furthermore, from 2014 to 2024, the Public Works Department has invested Rs 285 crore in the Sohna area.
“Since 2024, an extra Rs 5.70 crore has been utilized, and projects worth Rs 407 crore are in progress.”
The Chief Minister stated that the construction of the sub-divisional complex in Sohna is advancing rapidly, with administrative approval of around Rs 41 crore. The new complex will centralize administrative services under one roof.
