Minister Reports Over 5.6 Million Public Grievances Resolved Online in Two-Year Period

New Delhi, March 27 (NationPress) More than 5.6 million grievances were addressed between November 2022 and February 2025 through the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), as per the data presented in Parliament.
From November 1, 2022, to February 28, 2025, a total of 5,236,844 grievances were logged on CPGRAMS, with 5,663,849 grievances successfully resolved using the system,” said Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh in a written response to a query in the Lok Sabha.
As of February 28, there is a backlog of 59,946 public grievances pending in the various ministries and departments of the Government of India.
The Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) enables citizens to submit grievances online.
The administration is also advancing towards the development of comprehensive Information Technology (IT) solutions for the public grievance system. This NextGen CPGRAMS initiative will involve enhancing the current architecture of the CPGRAMS web portal, Singh noted.
“CPGRAMS has been connected with Common Service Centres (CSCs) to maximize its reach and provide CPGRAMS access to the rural populace,” the minister added.
Citizens can lodge grievances through 510,000 Common Service Centers (CSCs).
In response to another inquiry, Singh disclosed that the average grievance resolution time across all ministries and departments in 2024, spanning from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, was 13 days. Up until February 28, 2025, a total of 327,395 grievances have been filed on the CPGRAMS platform, he mentioned.
Additionally, 50,088 public grievances were resolved by the states and union territories in February, while the backlog on the CPGRAMS portal currently stands at 190,994 grievances, according to the monthly report issued by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG).
The report indicates that 47,599 new users registered in February, with the highest number of registrations, 7,312, occurring in Uttar Pradesh, India’s largest state.
The report also includes a state-wise breakdown of grievances logged through Common Service Centres in February. The CPGRAMS has been integrated with the Common Service Centre (CSC) portal and is accessible at over 500,000 CSCs, collaborating with 250,000 Village Level Entrepreneurs.
