Patna, April 24 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday denounced the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, characterizing it as a cowardly act.

"The entire nation is united in sorrow and firmly stands with the families of the victims. Such cowardly acts will never be tolerated in our country," stated CM Nitish.

During a rally held by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Madhubani on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day, he reaffirmed his commitment to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), subtly referencing prior political changes.

"Indeed, I departed from the NDA twice, but it was due to the wrong decisions made by certain individuals. I will not leave again. This time, the NDA will mirror its historic performance in Bihar from 2005," CM Nitish asserted, highlighting JD(U) leaders Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh) and Sanjay Jha as reasons for past exits from the coalition.

Union Minister Lalan Singh, who also addressed the rally, issued a stern warning to those responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack and expressed unwavering confidence in PM Modi's leadership.

"This attack is a cowardly act. The nation trusts that when the moment arrives, PM Modi will not hesitate to take decisive action. He will deliver a strong response to the terrorists and their backers," Union Minister Singh emphasized.

He noted that the Central government is actively implementing measures, and soon the nation will witness how India reacts to such threats.

"The Prime Minister's presence at this gathering, without any distractions, conveys a clear message of strength and determination," he added.

These remarks come during a period of heightened political engagement and security concerns, with Bihar preparing for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

On Tuesday, terrorists targeted tourists in Pahalgam, resulting in 26 fatalities and numerous injuries.

The terrorist act was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a faction of the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
