Pura, Chamb, Bhimber, and Gurez. Loud explosions reverberated in Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, took to X to express his outrage: "What just transpired with the ceasefire? Explosions are echoing throughout Srinagar!!!"
He further remarked, “This cannot be termed a ceasefire. The air defense units stationed in the heart of Srinagar have just engaged.”
Reports indicated that drones were spotted and subsequently intercepted in the Badami Bagh Cantonment region of Srinagar.
The headquarters for the Army’s 15th Corps is located within the Badami Bagh Cantonment area. Following the sound of explosions, Srinagar experienced a blackout.
A blackout was also noted in Kathua and Baramulla districts immediately after the ceasefire was breached, alongside sightings of drones across the Line of Control (LoC) in Indian territory.

Sirens were heard in both Akhnoor and Baramulla towns.
Tragically, five individuals lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning due to artillery fire from Pakistan in the Poonch and Akhnoor areas.
The deceased included Raj Kumar Thapa, the additional district development commissioner of Rajouri, a woman named Rashida Bi, and two residents from Bihar in Poonch along with one casualty from the Akhnoor sector.
Both Poonch and Uri towns have suffered significant damage, with extensive destruction to civilian property and public infrastructure.
