Parvesh Verma of BJP Alleges Financial Loss for Women Enrolled in AAP's Scheme in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 29 (NationPress) BJP leader and former West Delhi MP Parvesh Verma stated on Sunday that the party has received reports of women experiencing financial losses from their bank accounts after providing their details and OTPs to AAP volunteers for the 'monthly financial assistance scheme'.

Verma mentioned, “Numerous incidents have surfaced in which women reported receiving an OTP, followed by funds being siphoned from their bank accounts,” as he expressed his concerns to IANS.

He characterized this situation as a significant cyber fraud, suggesting that AAP workers are attempting to misappropriate funds from women's bank accounts to finance their Assembly election campaign.

Verma asserted, “This is a scam, and those involved must face consequences,” emphasizing his relationship as the son of former Delhi Chief Minister and BJP veteran Sahib Singh.

He praised Lieutenant Governor V. K. Saxena for initiating an investigation into the allegations, adding that despite Chief Minister Atishi and AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal promoting the proposed Rs 2,100 monthly assistance to women under the 'Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana', officials from the state government claimed in a public notice that no such scheme was in existence.

Verma pointed out that AAP volunteers were indiscriminately setting up kiosks and collecting personal information and OTPs from women with the promise of sending money to their wallets. “The alarming truth is that rather than receiving funds, money is being withdrawn from the bank accounts of women,” he remarked.

Regarding the presence of alleged Bangladeshi infiltrators in the city, Verma reiterated the BJP's call for their deportation. “However, whenever police apprehend infiltrators, AAP leaders, legislators, and even the CM intervene to protect them, labeling them as legitimate residents,” he claimed.

He commended the Delhi Police for initiating a focused effort to eliminate infiltrators from the city and called for a comprehensive investigation throughout the region.

The former MP also criticized the AAP government in Punjab for pledging financial support to women yet failing to deliver.
