Patna, April 25 (NationPress) The Patna Civil Court faced a security scare on Friday when law enforcement received an email threatening that RDX was on the court grounds. In response, teams from Patna Police, ATS, and STF, alongside bomb and dog squads, executed a comprehensive search operation throughout the court premises.
All three entrances were thoroughly examined, and metal detectors were set up to inspect everyone entering or leaving. Fortunately, no questionable items or materials were discovered.
In a statement to the press, DSP Town, Diksha, remarked: “An email containing a threatening message was received. We activated all essential security measures. The court area was meticulously searched. No suspicious items have been found, but we are proceeding with caution.”
She also mentioned that security has been reinforced, and efforts are ongoing to identify the sender’s IP address.
This threat emerged during a peak time when the court was crowded with lawyers, judges, and the public, heightening the alarm.
An FIR has been filed at Patna's Pirbahore police station against the unidentified sender, with the cyber cell and other technical experts from the Bihar police investigating the matter to trace the IP address.
Officials are taking this alert very seriously, especially following the recent Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 tourists and numerous injuries.
The timing of this incident has raised alarms due to its proximity to the Pahalgam attack, leading authorities to maintain a heightened state of vigilance.
