Amaravati, July 4 (NationPress) Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan emphasized on Friday that every coalition partner within the state government holds equal standing.
The leader of the Jana Sena Party expressed that he has never attempted to undermine Telugu Desam or any other party.
Speaking in Narasimhapuram village, located in Prakasam district, he laid the foundation stone for a significant drinking water initiative valued at Rs 1,290 crore.
The actor-turned-politician remarked on the satisfaction derived from initiating this project under the Central Government's Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to deliver clean drinking water to 22 lakh individuals across 7 Assembly constituencies, addressing long-standing issues related to drinking water and fluorosis.
Pawan Kalyan acknowledged that this project was made feasible through the backing of the BJP. He noted, “If Mr Chandrababu Naidu were absent, we wouldn't have managed finances effectively. I lack experience but possess the determination to fight,” as stated by the Deputy CM.
He pointed out that the successful execution of such projects requires the collaboration of multiple stakeholders, asserting that “all fingers must unite to form a fist. There isn't anyone who is greater or lesser.”
Furthermore, he criticized the leaders of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for allegedly threatening that they would retaliate if they regained power.
“They claim that if they return to power in 2029, they will see our downfall. Well, they must first achieve that power. We'll see how they manage it,” he remarked.
Pawan Kalyan attributed the current state of the YSRCP to their past threats of violence and intimidation during their governance. He also mentioned that previous leaders did not consider launching a drinking water initiative.
He clarified that the coalition government operates without malice. “This government is not driven by revenge; however, it will hold accountable those who err. We work with humility; do not provoke us,” he cautioned.
The Deputy CM also issued a stern warning to those attempting to encroach on endowment lands. “Stay away from the Endowments Department's lands. Your generations may pass, but these lands will persist,” he asserted.
He indicated that efforts to reclaim encroached temple lands have commenced, assuring that the coalition government is committed to safeguarding these lands.
Pawan Kalyan later took to X to describe the day as pivotal for Prakasam district. He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Jal Shakti Minister C. R. Patil for their steadfast dedication to rural advancement and for endorsing the Jal Jeevan Mission.
“Under Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership, this essential project has been initiated by the Rural Water Supply Department to resolve the region's long-standing drinking water challenges. In the upcoming years, with the combined efforts of both the Centre and State, we aspire to provide tap water for every household and safe drinking water for 1 crore families throughout Andhra Pradesh,” posted Pawan Kalyan, who oversees the portfolios of Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, and Rural Water Supply.
