Hyderabad, April 8 (NationPress) The son of Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has sustained injuries from a fire incident at a summer camp in Singapore and is currently undergoing a bronchoscopy, with potential long-term effects from smoke inhalation.
Pawan Kalyan is set to travel to Singapore on Tuesday and informed the media that his son, Mark Shankar, suffered burns on his hands and legs.
"I have been told that he is reasonably well, but right now they are performing a bronchoscopy. The final report will be available on Wednesday morning. Hopefully, everything will turn out fine," he stated.
The actor-politician revealed that the fire occurred during a summer camp attended by 30 children, resulting in one child's death and injuries to 15 others. He extended his condolences to the family of Mark Shankar's classmate who tragically lost their life in the blaze.
The Jana Sena leader expressed gratitude towards the construction workers near the summer camp who helped rescue the children before the fire services arrived.
Pawan Kalyan mentioned receiving a phone call at approximately 7:30 a.m. regarding the incident while he was visiting Araku.
"Initially, I thought it was a minor incident and was unaware of its severity. He has been admitted to a hospital where he is undergoing a bronchoscopy under general anesthesia," he noted.
Although he was on a planned four-day trip to the Alluri Sitharama Raju and Visakhapatnam districts, he had to shorten his visit.
He expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inquiring about his son's health and for updating the Indian High Commissioner in Singapore.

He mentioned that the unfortunate incident involving his youngest son coincided with his elder son Akhira's birthday celebration.
