Amaravati, April 9 (NationPress) - The son of Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Mark Shankar, is currently in recovery at a hospital in Singapore after sustaining injuries from a fire incident. The accident occurred on Tuesday, prompting Pawan Kalyan to travel to Singapore with his elder brother, megastar Chiranjeevi, and other family members to be with him.

Mark, aged seven, is undergoing several medical tests to evaluate his health status and any potential long-term effects from smoke inhalation. Reports indicate that he was moved from the intensive care unit to a regular room on Wednesday and will be monitored for three days.

In the meantime, members and supporters of the Jana Sena Party have been praying at various temples across the state for a swift recovery for Pawan Kalyan's son.

Mark Shankar suffered burn injuries to his hands and legs due to a fire that erupted at the Tomato Cooking School shophouse. Tragically, a 10-year-old girl lost her life, and 21 others, including 16 children, were injured in the incident.

Before departing for Singapore, Pawan Kalyan informed the media in Hyderabad that the fire broke out during a summer camp for children. He mentioned that Mark was undergoing a bronchoscopy and there might be lasting effects from smoke inhalation.

The Jana Sena leader shared that workers at a construction site adjacent to the summer camp successfully rescued the children before the fire engine arrived, expressing gratitude to those who assisted.

The Deputy Chief Minister received a call about the incident around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday while visiting Araku. Initially, he believed it to be a minor situation and was unaware of its severity. Mark is currently receiving treatment under general anesthesia.

Pawan Kalyan had planned a four-day visit to the Alluri Sitharama Raju and Visakhapatnam districts but had to shorten his trip. He also expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for checking on his son's condition and for notifying the Indian high commissioner in Singapore.

This unfortunate incident occurred on the same day that Pawan Kalyan's elder son, Akhira, was celebrating his birthday. Mark Shankar is the youngest of Pawan Kalyan’s four children, having a son Akhira and a daughter Aadhya from his second wife, Renu Desai, whom he divorced in 2012. He also has a daughter, Polena, and a son, Mark Shankar, from his third wife, Anna Lezhneva, a Russian citizen, whom he married in 2013.
