Patna, March 10 (NationPress) Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh received significant relief from the Subdivisional Court in Bikramganj, located in Rohtas district, on Monday, as he was acquitted in a model code of conduct violation case.
The ruling from the ACGM-3 Court, presided over by Vijayant Kumar, favored Pawan Singh due to insufficient evidence. This case was initiated during the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections concerning a considerable roadshow and vehicle convoy.
In total, multiple FIRs were filed across various police stations in Rohtas district, including Karakat, Bikramganj, Sanjhauli, Rajpur, and Akhorigola, before being consolidated into a single case.
Post-verdict, the actor expressed his confidence in the judicial system. He had previously obtained bail in this matter on September 12, 2024.
Following his loss in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Karakat, Pawan Singh is now preparing for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. In the recent elections, he faced defeat against Raja Ram Singh Kushwaha of CPI-ML but managed to secure the second position, outperforming NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha.
As part of his assembly election strategy, both Pawan Singh and his wife Jyoti Singh have declared their intention to run, although they have yet to disclose their party affiliations.
Jyoti Singh has been actively campaigning in the Karakat and Dehri constituencies.
“Currently, we are engaging with various political parties. Once finalized, I will join the party first, followed by the announcement of the seat,” Jyoti stated.
Pawan Singh is expected to align with a significant party before the elections. His strong backing in Rohtas district was evident during the Lok Sabha elections.
Nevertheless, Pawan Singh faces the challenge of transforming his fan base into a robust voting base for success. With the Bihar elections heating up, their next steps could be pivotal in influencing the political landscape of the state.
As the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections draw near, this decision could provide substantial relief for him.
