New Delhi, Oct 2 (NationPress) In a heartfelt reaction to the unfortunate fatalities during the Durga idol immersion events in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his deep sorrow and support to the mourning families.

He has declared an ex-gratia payment of Rs 2 lakh for each bereaved family and Rs 50,000 for those injured.

In a social media post, his office stated, “I am deeply saddened by the loss of lives in an incident at Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh. My thoughts are with the affected individuals and their families in this challenging time. I am praying for the swift recovery of the injured.
