Thimphu, Nov 12 (NationPress) On the second day of his visit to Bhutan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the revered Kalachakra ‘Wheel of Time’, marking the commencement of the Kalachakra Empowerment that began on Wednesday as part of the ongoing Global Peace Prayer Festival.
The momentous occasion was graced by Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the King of Bhutan, and presided over by Je Khenpo, Bhutan's Chief Abbot, adding to its significance.
PM Modi shared images of the ceremony on X, stating that this event would foster unity among Buddhism’s followers and scholars in Bhutan.
“I had the privilege of inaugurating the Kālacakra ‘Wheel of Time’ Empowerment alongside His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, King of Bhutan, and His Majesty The Fourth Druk Gyalpo. The presence of His Holiness the Je Khenpo made it even more profound,” PM Modi wrote in his post on X.
