Later on Sunday afternoon, the Prime Minister will proceed to Madurai to inaugurate and lay the foundation for infrastructure projects totaling Rs 4,400 crore.
These initiatives are projected to improve road connectivity, urban infrastructure, and regional growth across southern Tamil Nadu.
At approximately 4 p.m. on Sunday, PM Modi will offer prayers at the revered Tirupparankundram Subramanya Swamy Temple, one of the six sacred abodes of Lord Murugan.
This temple visit is expected to garner significant public interest, coinciding with heightened political activity in Tamil Nadu.
Key infrastructure highlights of Modi's visit include the inauguration of newly constructed four-lane highways linking Marakkanam to Puducherry, and Paramakudi to Ramanathapuram, aimed at enhancing inter-city connectivity and promoting trade and tourism.
Under the Amrit Bharat scheme, Modi will inaugurate eight revamped railway stations across Tamil Nadu: Morappur, Bommidi, Srivilliputhur, Cholavandan, Manapparai, Pollachi Junction, Karaikudi Junction, and Tiruvarur Junction, as part of efforts to modernize the railway infrastructure.
Additionally, three new All India Radio FM relay transmitters will be launched in Kumbakonam, Yercaud, and Vellore to bolster broadcasting services in Tamil Nadu.
