PM Modi Unveils Over Rs 7,000 Crore Projects in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

New Delhi, March 1 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Tamil Nadu and Puducherry this Sunday, where he will engage with the public and unveil development initiatives totaling over Rs 7,000 crore. During his time in Puducherry, the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects and lay the groundwork for ventures worth over Rs 2,700 crore. An official announcement confirmed that he will also speak to the attendees during this event.
Later in the day, PM Modi will head to Madurai to launch initiatives valued at more than Rs 4,400 crore while addressing a public meeting.
At around 4 p.m., he will participate in prayers at the Arulmigu Subramaniyaswamy Temple located in Tirupparankundram, Madurai.
He will initiate the four-laning of the Marakkanam–Puducherry Section of NH-332A and the Paramakudi–Ramanathapuram Section of NH-87. This expansion is anticipated to alleviate traffic congestion in urban Puducherry, effectively cutting travel time by almost 50%, reducing it from one hour to approximately 30 minutes.
The Prime Minister will also unveil railway infrastructure projects designed to enhance passenger convenience, boost operational efficiency, and improve rail connectivity within the state.
Eight railway stations in Tamil Nadu will be redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, including Morappur, Bommidi, Srivilliputtur, Sholavandan, Manaparai, Pollachi Junction, Karaikkudi Junction, and Thiruvarur Junction.
In Puducherry, he will dedicate the 750-acre Karasur-Sedarapet Industrial Estate to the nation. This estate is expected to feature a Pharma Park, Textile Park, IT Park, an advanced research and development center from IIT Madras, and cutting-edge healthcare facilities from JIPMER, thereby significantly bolstering industrial growth and creating employment opportunities in the area.
