New Delhi, Aug 15 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound sorrow over the demise of Nagaland Governor La. Ganesan, who passed away in Chennai at the age of 80.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister stated: "I am deeply saddened by the departure of Nagaland Governor Thiru La. Ganesan Ji. His legacy as a dedicated nationalist will endure, as he devoted his life to the service of the nation. La. Ganesan, a former Rajya Sabha MP, passed away in Chennai on Friday evening at the age of 80. He had been receiving treatment at Apollo Hospitals for a severe head injury incurred from a fall at his home in T. Nagar, Chennai on August 8.
Despite comprehensive medical intervention and surgery, he tragically passed away at 6.23 p.m.
Hospital reports revealed that Ganesan was discovered unconscious at home and quickly admitted to the ICU. Doctors identified internal injuries resulting from the fall, and despite surgical efforts, his health remained precarious.
