New Delhi, March 20 (NationPress) On the second day of Chaitra Navratri, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the profound spiritual essence of this festival, noting that the devotion to Maa Ambe creates an atmosphere that instills a significant sense of peace and vibrant energy in the minds of individuals.

In a post on the social media platform X, the Prime Minister expressed, "The devotional ambiance surrounding Maa Ambe during Navratri infuses the mind with immense tranquility and vigor. The resonance of faith and devotion towards the Mother Goddess warms the heart."

Alongside his message, he shared a devotional aarti performed by Anuradha Paudwal, titled “Aarti Ambe Tu Hai Jagdambe Kali.” This video, exceeding four minutes in length, encapsulates the deeply rooted traditions and reverence associated with this festival.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also took to social media to convey his devotion.

He shared a message on his X account in Hindi (loosely translated), "With the rosary and the water pot in her lotus-like hands, may the supreme Devi Brahmacharini bless me. On this sacred second day of Chaitra Navratri, during the holy festival of worshipping Maa Durga, may the grace of Maa Brahmacharini be showered upon all creation; may she bestow her devotees with gifts of courage and restraint—this is my prayer to the Mother of the Universe. Jai Maa Brahmacharini."

The second day of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Goddess Brahmacharini, one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga. On this day, devotees engage in fasting and offer sincere prayers, seeking blessings for strength, wisdom, and inner serenity.

Goddess Brahmacharini, also known as Tapasvini and Yogini, embodies penance and devotion. She is generally depicted in a white saree, holding a rosary in one hand and a kamandal (water pot) in the other, symbolizing simplicity, discipline, and unwavering resolve.

Worshippers believe that honoring Goddess Brahmacharini aids in achieving knowledge, courage, and emotional equilibrium. She represents grace, strength, loyalty, and love, and is spiritually associated with the Swadhishthana (Sacral) Chakra, linked to the planet Mars. It is said that those affected by Mangal dosha in their horoscopes can gain benefits from fasting and praying on this day.
