The name "Kaalratri" combines "kaal," which signifies time or death, and "ratri," meaning night or darkness or ignorance. Hence, Kaalratri symbolizes the mighty force that dispels darkness, heralding the dawn of light and wisdom.
Goddess Maa Kaalratri is recognized as the most formidable incarnation, with her dark skin reflecting her fierce and unwavering spirit. Maa Kaalratri is depicted with four arms, embodying both fear and protection.
Her upper right hand grants boons to her devotees, while her lower right hand provides protection and fearlessness. In her upper left hand, she wields a sword, and in her lower left hand, she holds an iron club, which she employs to defeat malevolent forces.
Across the nation, Navratri is being celebrated with immense devotion, as thousands of her followers flock to various temples to offer their prayers.
