Jaipur, Sep 18 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to launch a nuclear power project worth Rs 45,000 crore in Banswara, Rajasthan on September 25. This ambitious power plant is designed to produce 2,800 MW of energy.
The BJP State President, Madan Rathore, emphasized that this project will signify a historic achievement for both Rajasthan and the country, enhancing energy security, infrastructure, and regional growth.
While in Dungarpur–Banswara, Rathore addressed the media on Thursday, discussing the significance of this development.
He highlighted essential initiatives like Seva Pakhwada, Atmanirbhar Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan, and the forthcoming GST Next Reforms.
During his statements in Banswara, Rathore reiterated the project’s capacity to generate 2,800 MW of energy, marking it as a pivotal moment for Rajasthan and India, significantly bolstering regional infrastructure, energy security, job opportunities, and investments.
He mentioned that senior leaders from both the central and state governments, including Union Ministers and local dignitaries, will be present at the Prime Minister’s event.
Rathore portrayed this initiative as a decisive move towards the comprehensive development of Banswara and surrounding districts.
Reinforcing national unity, Rathore warned against “fragmentation forces that hinder development and nation-building,” asserting that political differences should not encourage societal division, cultural erosion, or weakened brotherhood, all of which must be resisted both socially and legally for uninterrupted progress.
In Dungarpur, he also underscored India's growing industrial competitiveness, stating that foreign tariff barriers pose no threat to India’s strength.
He pointed out that India’s cottage industries and entrepreneurs can create high-quality, affordable products for the global market, and that foreign tariff increases would merely raise costs for their own populations.
He credited the Modi-led government’s GST reforms and income tax relief for alleviating the financial burden on everyday citizens and small enterprises, making essential items, life-saving medicines, agricultural tools, and cottage industry raw materials more accessible.
According to Rathore, these reforms have spurred local production and job creation.
Reflecting on India’s resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic, he noted that India not only protected its citizens through the production of PPE kits, medicines, and vaccines but also provided assistance to numerous countries.
He concluded that today, India is making strides in defense production, mobile manufacturing, toys, and other domestic sectors, turning the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat into a reality.
