Banswara, Sep 25 (NationPress) On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil a groundbreaking development initiative for Rajasthan, coinciding with the birthday of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. He will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects exceeding Rs 1,22,670 crore in Banswara, dedicating them to the nation.
Among these, projects valued at over Rs 1,08,468 crore are anticipated to provide direct benefits to Rajasthan, highlighted by the Rs 42,000 crore Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project, which will establish the state’s second nuclear power facility.
As part of India’s Panchamrit Action Plan, the Prime Minister will also lay the groundwork for clean energy initiatives and transmission systems worth Rs 63,683 crore.
This package includes seven solar energy projects valued at Rs 14,445 crore and transmission lines costing Rs 13,183 crore to facilitate the transfer of renewable energy from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phase 4 and Phase 5.
With a total generation capacity of 9.6 GW, these initiatives across five states will significantly contribute to India’s clean energy transition.
Moreover, substantial water resource projects worth Rs 20,833 crore will be inaugurated or initiated, including the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, Mor Sagar Artificial Reservoir in Ajmer, and the Brahmani Barrage in Chittorgarh.
Road infrastructure will see enhancements with projects amounting to Rs 2,636 crore, while initiatives worth approximately Rs 5,884 crore will improve access to clean drinking water for rural and urban households across various districts.
Social infrastructure is also a major area of focus. A new 250-bed RBM Hospital will be established in Bharatpur at a cost of Rs 128 crore, and the IT Development and e-Governance Centre worth Rs 140 crore will be inaugurated in Jaipur.
Sewerage and water infrastructure projects totaling Rs 226 crore will kick off in Makrana (Nagaur) and Mandawa (Jhunjhunu).
Additionally, the Prime Minister will strengthen connectivity by flagging off three new trains via video conferencing: the Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, the Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and the Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express.
Employment opportunities will also take center stage, with appointment letters distributed to 15,000 youth in Rajasthan.
This includes 5,778 animal attendants, 4,197 junior assistants, 1,800 junior instructors, 1,464 junior engineers, 1,200 third-grade teachers, among other positions and compassionate appointments.
With this extensive development package encompassing energy, water, healthcare, education, infrastructure, and employment, Rajasthan is poised to make significant strides towards inclusive growth and self-reliance.
