Jaipur, Sep 24 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to announce a groundbreaking development initiative for Rajasthan on Thursday, September 25, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
He will initiate the foundation stone and unveil projects exceeding Rs 1,22,670 crore in Banswara, dedicating them to the nation.
Among these, projects worth over Rs 1,08,468 crore will have a direct impact on Rajasthan, including the Rs 42,000 crore Mahi Banswara Nuclear Power Project, marking the state’s second nuclear power facility.
Aligned with India’s Panchamrit Action Plan, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation for clean energy initiatives and transmission systems totaling Rs 63,683 crore, including seven solar power projects worth Rs 14,445 crore.
Additionally, transmission lines valued at Rs 13,183 crore will be inaugurated to facilitate the evacuation of renewable energy from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone Phases 4 and 5.
With a combined generation capacity of 9.6 GW, these initiatives across five states will propel India’s transition to clean energy.
Moreover, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for extensive water resource projects amounting to Rs 20,833 crore, including the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, Mor Sagar Artificial Reservoir in Ajmer, and the Brahmani Barrage in Chittorgarh.
Infrastructure development will also be prioritized with projects worth Rs 2,636 crore, while major drinking water initiatives costing around Rs 5,884 crore will ensure clean and accessible water for rural and urban households across various districts. Furthermore, significant social infrastructure will be dedicated.
Residents of Bharatpur will benefit from a new 250-bed RBM Hospital constructed at a cost of Rs 128 crore, while Jaipur will witness the opening of the IT Development and e-Governance Centre valued at Rs 140 crore.
Sewerage and water infrastructure projects totaling Rs 226 crore in Makrana (Nagaur) and Mandawa (Jhunjhunu) will also be initiated.
Connectivity will be enhanced as the Prime Minister flags off three new trains via video conferencing: the Bikaner–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, Jodhpur–Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express, and the Udaipur City–Chandigarh Express.
Employment opportunities will take center stage, with appointment letters slated for distribution to 15,000 youth in Rajasthan.
This includes 5,778 animal attendants, 4,197 junior assistants, 1,800 junior instructors, 1,464 junior engineers, 1,200 third-grade teachers, among other positions and compassionate appointments.
With this extensive development initiative, spanning energy, water, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and employment sectors, Rajasthan is positioned for significant advancement towards inclusive growth and self-reliance.
