New Delhi, Nov 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a significant public rally on Saturday at Kudiya Kothi Maidan, located in Chanpatia, which is part of Bihar’s West Champaran district. This event is a crucial element of the campaign for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections taking place on November 11.
Comprehensive security measures have been implemented, with multiple tiers of police and specialized forces mobilized to guarantee the event proceeds without any issues.
As per officials, candidates from all the Assembly constituencies in West and East Champaran are anticipated to be present at the rally, which is expected to attract a large gathering of BJP supporters and local residents.
In anticipation of his visit, local BJP representatives have submitted a request to the Prime Minister’s Office for the reopening of the Chanpatia sugar mill, which has been non-operational for several years. Many community members are hopeful that PM Modi will announce its revival during his address, viewing it as a vital move towards enhancing local employment opportunities and invigorating the regional economy.
This rally is a pivotal moment in the BJP’s campaign strategy in north Bihar, where the party aims to strengthen its foothold ahead of the elections.
On the previous day, while speaking at another election rally in Aurangabad, PM Modi launched a fierce critique of the RJD-Congress alliance, alleging it fosters a “culture of fear and violence” among the youth. He referenced a recent controversial statement from a Mahagathbandhan event, stating, “A young supporter had openly declared he would carry a katta (pistol) when Tejashwi Yadav's government would assume power.”
He further claimed, “The individuals from Jungle Raj possess all the tools necessary to instill fear, extortion, and kidnapping in Bihar. If they regain power, the cycle will repeat.”
Reflecting on the challenges faced during the previous RJD-Congress regime, the Prime Minister noted that Naxalism was rampant and citizens were frightened to travel at night. “Only after the NDA took charge in Bihar under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar did the circumstances improve,” he stated.
PM Modi also asserted that from 2005 to 2014, the RJD and Congress administrations at the national level hindered Nitish Kumar’s governance. “After our election in 2014, the double-engine government accelerated development. We have allocated three times more funds to Bihar for developmental projects,” he concluded.
