PM Modi was present at the elaborate oath-taking ceremony of Rekha Gupta and her six Ministers held in Ramlila Maidan.

The ceremony was also graced by other senior party leaders and Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states.

After the event, PM Modi shared on social media, "Best wishes to Smt. Rekha Gupta Ji on her oath as Chief Minister of Delhi. She has progressed from grassroots, actively involved in campus politics, state organization, municipal administration, and now as an MLA and Chief Minister."

He expressed his assurance that she would strive for Delhi's progress.

"I am assured she will pursue Delhi's advancement with utmost vigor. My best wishes for a successful term," PM Modi further remarked.

The Prime Minister also congratulated the six Ministers who took the oath alongside CM Gupta.

This team effectively merges vitality and experience, ensuring good governance for Delhi. Wishing them all the best," PM Modi expressed on his X handle.

With Rekha Gupta taking office, the BJP regains power in the national capital after a 27-year hiatus.

The ceremony showcased the strength of the NDA alliance, as leaders gathered in Delhi for this significant occasion.

Rekha Gupta becomes the fourth woman to serve as Chief Minister of Delhi, following Sheila Dikshit, Sushma Swaraj, and Atishi. She is also the fourth BJP Chief Minister in the capital after Madan Lal Khurana, Sahib Singh Verma, and Sushma Swaraj.

Her Cabinet consists of six Ministers – Parvesh Singh Verma, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh, all of whom also took the oath.

Parvesh Singh Verma made headlines by defeating former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal by over 3,000 votes.

Reports suggest that Rekha Gupta's Cabinet may convene for its first meeting at the Delhi Secretariat around 3 p.m., potentially implementing the Mahila Samriddhi Yojna, a campaign promise providing women beneficiaries with a monthly payment of ₹2,500. The Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme is also expected to receive approval from the new Delhi Cabinet.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister indicated a firm approach towards corruption issues involving the previous AAP government, asserting that those in power for 12 years in the capital would face accountability for corruption.
