During his visit, PM Modi is expected to speak at a public assembly around 11 a.m. and will also distribute the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This installment will see over ₹20,500 crore directly deposited into the bank accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers nationwide, underscoring the government's unwavering commitment to supporting India's agricultural sector.
As part of efforts to bolster connectivity, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the widening and fortification of essential roads, including the Varanasi–Bhadohi road and the Chhitauni–Shool Tankeshwar road. He will also unveil a railway overbridge at Hardattpur, which is projected to reduce congestion on the heavily trafficked Mohan Sarai–Adalpura route.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation for several new infrastructure projects, including road enhancements in Dalmandi, Lahartara–Kotwa, Gangapur, and Babatpur.
New railway overbridges at Level Crossing 22C and Khalispur Yard are also planned to improve local transportation facilities.
In a bid to enhance the city’s power infrastructure, the Prime Minister will launch electricity projects valued at over ₹880 crore. These initiatives include the Smart Distribution Project and the burial of overhead electrical cables, aiming to modernize and secure the city’s electricity supply system.
To boost tourism and safeguard the city’s rich cultural heritage, PM Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of eight riverfront Kuccha Ghats, the beautification of the pond and ghat at Rangildas Kutiya in Shivpur, and the restoration of the historic Durgakund.
Foundation stones will also be laid for the restoration of Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple, development of Karkhiyaon, the birthplace of prominent freedom fighters, and the redevelopment of Munshi Premchand’s ancestral home in Lamahi into a museum.
