Varanasi, July 31 (NationPress) In a notable leap towards development in his parliamentary constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Varanasi on August 2. During this visit, he will initiate and unveil numerous projects valued at approximately Rs 2,200 crore across various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, tourism, urban development, and cultural heritage.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also distribute the 20th installment of PM-KISAN, directly transferring Rs 20,500 crore to the bank accounts of over 9.7 crore farmers throughout the nation.

The comprehensive projects aim to achieve an all-encompassing urban transformation, enhance connectivity, improve quality of life, and safeguard the cultural heritage of Varanasi.

In a bid to upgrade road and transport infrastructure, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the widening and strengthening of the Varanasi–Bhadohi road and the Chhitauni–Shool Tankeshwar road, along with a Railway Overbridge at Hardattpur, which will alleviate traffic congestion along the Mohan Sarai–Adalpura route.

Additionally, he will lay the foundation for several pivotal road projects in Dalmandi, Lahartara-Kotwa, Gangapur, Babatpur, and others, as well as for new railway overbridges at Level Crossing 22C and Khalispur Yard.

As part of initiatives to modernize the region's electricity infrastructure, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for projects exceeding Rs 880 crore, which will include the implementation of the Smart Distribution Project and the undergrounding of electrical infrastructure.

In a significant stride towards preserving culture and boosting tourism, PM Modi will inaugurate the redevelopment of eight riverfront Kuccha Ghats, beautification efforts at the pond and ghat at Rangildas Kutiya in Shivpur, and restoration of Durgakund.

Foundation stones will also be laid for the restoration of the Kardameshwar Mahadev Temple, development of Karkhiyaon (the birthplace of renowned freedom fighters), and the transformation of Munshi Premchand's ancestral home in Lamahi into a museum.

Additional projects include the establishment of City Facility Centres at Sarnath, Rishi Mandvi, and Ramnagar Zones, the creation of an Urban Miyawaki Forest at Kanchanpur, and the beautification of Shaheed Udyan alongside 21 other parks.

To safeguard culturally significant water bodies, PM Modi will lay the foundation for water purification and maintenance works at various kunds including Ramkund, Mandakini, and Shankuldhara.

Moreover, the Prime Minister will also launch four floating pujan platforms and inaugurate 47 Rural Drinking Water Schemes under the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide access to safe drinking water in rural areas.

PM Modi will inaugurate the upgrading of 53 municipal school buildings and lay the foundation for various educational initiatives, including a new district library and the rejuvenation of government high schools in Jakhini, Lalpur, and other areas.

A major enhancement in medical facilities will see the inauguration of robotic surgery and CT scan services at the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre and Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital. He will also lay the foundation for a Homoeopathic College and Hospital and inaugurate an Animal Birth Control and Dog Care Centre.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate a synthetic hockey turf at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Stadium. The Prime Minister will unveil a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 300 at PAC Ramnagar and lay the groundwork for Quick Response Team (QRT) Barracks to bolster law enforcement infrastructure.

He will also distribute the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN scheme, providing over Rs 20,500 crore to 9.7 crore farmers nationwide, pushing total disbursement under PM-KISAN beyond Rs 3.90 lakh crore since its inception.

As part of the Kashi Sansad Pratiyogita, PM Modi will launch a registration portal for various competitions, including sketching, painting, photography, sports, and quizzes, along with a Rojgar Mela.

He will distribute more than 7,400 assistive aids to Divyangjan and elderly beneficiaries, underscoring the government's commitment to inclusive development.
