Varanasi, July 31 (NationPress) In a notable leap towards development in his parliamentary constituency, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Varanasi on August 2. During this visit, he will initiate and unveil numerous projects valued at approximately Rs 2,200 crore across various sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, tourism, urban development, and cultural heritage.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also distribute the 20th installment of PM-KISAN, directly transferring Rs 20,500 crore to the bank accounts of over 9.7 crore farmers throughout the nation.

The comprehensive projects aim to achieve an all-encompassing urban transformation, enhance connectivity, improve quality of life, and safeguard the cultural heritage of Varanasi.

In a bid to upgrade road and transport infrastructure, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the widening and strengthening of the Varanasi–Bhadohi road and the Chhitauni–Shool Tankeshwar road, along with a Railway Overbridge at Hardattpur, which will alleviate traffic congestion along the Mohan Sarai–Adalpura route.

Additionally, he will lay the foundation for several pivotal road projects in Dalmandi, Lahartara-Kotwa, Gangapur, Babatpur, and others, as well as for new railway overbridges at Level Crossing 22C and Khalispur Yard.

As part of initiatives to modernize the region's electricity infrastructure, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for projects exceeding Rs 880 crore, which will include the implementation of the Smart Distribution Project and the undergrounding of electrical infrastructure.
