New Delhi, March 1 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday emphasized the government's unwavering dedication to realizing the vision of a developed India and stated that creating a nation with empowered and prosperous farmers is a central objective of his administration.
During the virtual post-Budget webinar titled 'Agriculture and Rural Prosperity,' PM Modi praised the essential role of food producers, asserting that Agriculture will perpetually be the primary engine driving the nation’s progress.
"We are advancing with two principal objectives - the growth of the agriculture sector and the prosperity of our villages," PM Modi articulated.
He reiterated that India's commitment to becoming a developed nation is distinctly evident.
"Together, we are striving to establish an India where farmers thrive and feel empowered," he stated.
"Our aim is to ensure that no farmer is overlooked. Every farmer must progress. We are on a path leading to agricultural advancement and village prosperity," he added.
Prime Minister Modi also remarked: "This year's Budget, being the inaugural full Budget of the NDA government’s third term, signifies continuity in our policies."
He acknowledged the valuable suggestions and feedback received during the Budget's formulation.
Prime Minister Modi touched on the introduction of the 'PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana' within the Union Budget, highlighting a focus on enhancing the agricultural productivity of the 100 districts that currently lag behind.
"Our administration is devoted to fostering a thriving rural economy. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, millions of underprivileged individuals are being provided with homes, and the ownership initiative has granted 'Record of Rights' to property holders," PM Modi noted.
In further detail regarding programs aimed at boosting fruit and vegetable production, he indicated that substantial investments have been made in these areas to meet the rising demand for horticulture, dairy, and fishery products.
