New Delhi, Feb 28 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in a post-budget webinar focused on Agriculture and Rural Prosperity on March 1 at 12:30 PM via video conferencing.

During this session, he will deliver a keynote address. The primary goal of the event is to foster agricultural growth and enhance rural prosperity by promoting collaboration among experts, industry leaders, and policymakers.

This webinar, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, is designed to unite key stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for the effective execution of the agricultural and rural development initiatives outlined in the Union Budget 2025.

In related news, the Ministry of Agriculture reported that the number of farmers enrolled in the Centre's initiative for forming and promoting Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) has reached 30 lakh across the country, with nearly 40 percent of participants being women.

The objective of this scheme is to elevate farmers' incomes and grant small-scale farmers direct access to substantial market advantages, bargaining power, and improved market access.

This initiative, launched by PM Modi on February 29, 2020, provides five years of handholding support for each new FPO established, along with financial aid amounting to Rs 18 lakh to cover management costs for three years.
