What Happened to the Political Leader Caught in an Obscene Act on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway?

Bhopal, May 23 (NationPress) A controversial video featuring a political leader from Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh, has gone viral, igniting intense discussions. Recorded by CCTV cameras positioned along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the footage purportedly depicts the leader in a compromising situation with a woman outside a car, engaging in an obscene act.

In response to the rapid circulation of the video on social media, the Bhanpura police station in Mandsaur district has initiated action by registering a case against the individual involved.

“We have filed a case against a person identified as Manohar Lal Dhakad and another individual under sections 296, 285, and 3(5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Samhita at the Bhanpura police station after the video came to light. An investigation is currently underway, and the woman involved will also be identified and face legal repercussions,” stated Hemlata Kuril, additional superintendent of police, Garoth, Mandsaur, in a conversation with IANS.

Despite the unfolding events, the Bharatiya Janata Party state unit has yet to provide a response.

In an interview with IANS, Yashpal Sisodiya, a BJP spokesperson and senior leader from Mandsaur, remarked: “This act by Manohar Lal Dhakad and the woman is utterly objectionable and disgraceful. It remains unclear whether he is even a primary member of the party. While anyone can join the party via a missed call, he has never held an office and is not a member currently. However, his wife is a member of the Mandsaur district panchayat.”

Additionally, Sisodiya emphasized: “Even if he is a member, our party will take swift and strict action.”

Meanwhile, the district president of BJP, Rajesh Dixit, confirmed that Dhakad is not even a primary member of the party.

Since the video's emergence, it has attracted considerable attention, with social media users actively debating its implications.

Concerns have been raised that any disciplinary action against the leader could lead his wife, a prominent BJP supporter in the district panchayat, to reconsider her political ties, potentially altering the power dynamics.

With nine BJP-backed members and eight Congress-supported representatives in the 17-member assembly, any shift in political loyalty could have significant consequences.

Reportedly, the Dhakad Mahasabha Yuva Sangh has expelled him immediately. The accused leader is affiliated with the Dhakad (Kirar) community.

Sources indicate that the BJP is cautiously exploring its options to address the fallout before taking decisive measures.

In response to the video, the Congress party criticized the BJP for endorsing such leaders, asserting: “An impartial investigation is crucial, as the woman in the video is allegedly a government teacher who may have been coerced or lured into this predicament.”
