New Delhi, Nov 13 (NationPress) In a clear rebuttal of the “Vote Chori” accusation made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Pradeep Gupta, the CMD of Axis My India (AMI) and a noted psephologist, stated that his team encountered no reports of electoral roll manipulation during the recent exit poll conducted in Bihar.
Revealing the findings of the Exit Poll, Gupta remarked, “We surveyed each Assembly constituency in Bihar and interacted with numerous residents, yet there were no complaints regarding 'vote chori.'”
“Our focus is solely on public sentiment, independent of Rahul Gandhi's circumstances or actions. The Congress party's influence in Bihar is minimal,” he added.
The Axis My India Exit Poll forecasts that the NDA is projected to achieve a 43 percent vote share, while the MGB is anticipated to receive a 41 percent share, just slightly lower.
This analysis indicates that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is poised to regain power in Bihar, albeit with a narrow lead over the RJD-Congress-led Mahagathbandhan (MGB).
The AMI exit poll predicts that the NDA, led by Nitish Kumar, will secure between 121 and 140 seats, while the Mahagathbandhan is expected to clinch between 98-118 seats. The Prashant Kishor-led Jan Suraaj Party is projected to win between 0-2 seats in the 243-member Assembly.
A key highlight of the exit poll is the emergence of the Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD as the largest party in the competitive Assembly elections, estimated to win 67-76 seats, achieving a strike rate exceeding 50 percent.
Gupta confidently asserted that over the past 12 years, Axis My India has forecasted outcomes for 80 elections, with accurate predictions in 74 instances.
In a video shared on his X account, Gupta stated, “Exit Polls are essential for understanding what influences various voter demographics to support particular candidates.”
On election-related issues, Gupta noted that in Assembly elections, factors such as roads, electricity, water, health, education, law and order, and farmers' issues significantly sway voters.
He emphasized that the main concern in Bihar elections has been the current government’s performance. What commitments did the government make in the previous election, and to what extent were they fulfilled? These elements contribute to both anti-incumbency and pro-incumbency sentiments.
Gupta also highlighted that unemployment and migration are pressing issues in Bihar, with unemployment being a significant concern in this election.
