Prateek Yadav post-mortem: 4-doctor panel formed in Lucknow
Lucknow's Chief Medical Officer has constituted a four-member team of doctors to conduct the post-mortem of Prateek Yadav, son of late Samajwadi Party (SP) founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and husband of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Aparna Yadav. The examination, expected to begin at around 10 a.m., is anticipated to take approximately half an hour to ascertain the cause of death. Prateek Yadav passed away at the age of 38 in Lucknow on Wednesday, 13 May.
What Happened
Family members brought Prateek Yadav to the Lucknow Civil Hospital at around 6:15 a.m., where he was declared 'brought dead'. According to initial observations, there were no visible signs of injury on the body. Aparna Yadav was reportedly not present at the hospital at the time.
Prateek Yadav had been experiencing lung problems for some time and was receiving treatment for a blood clot in his lungs. When his condition worsened in the morning and he became unresponsive, his family rushed him to the Civil Hospital.
Post-Mortem Panel Details
The four-member team constituted by the Chief Medical Officer of the Lucknow Civil Hospital will conduct the primary post-mortem procedure. Additionally, a panel from King George Medical University (KGMU) will also perform a separate post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death.
KGMU has formed a two-member specialist team comprising Dr Mausami and Dr Shivli, who have been specifically assigned to address any doubts or concerns that may arise during the initial stages of the examination.
