In her message, the President remarked: "On this festive occasion of Christmas, I convey my warmest wishes and greetings to all Indians, particularly our Christian brothers and sisters."

She urged the public to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ, which focus on love and harmony. The President noted that the Christmas celebration serves as a reminder to cultivate unity and peace.

"As we observe this sacred day, let us incorporate the message of love and harmony from Jesus Christ into our daily lives. His principles of brotherhood and the betterment of humanity continue to illuminate the path toward a brighter future. This festival inspires us to promote unity and peace," stated the President, according to a communication from Rashtrapati Bhavan.

"During this peaceful season, I wish for the values of trust and forgiveness to grow globally, bringing individuals together," added President Murmu.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined the Christmas celebrations organized by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of India (CBCI) at their headquarters in the capital, marking a historic first for a Prime Minister to attend a Catholic Church event. Many religious leaders from the Christian community expressed their gratitude for Prime Minister Modi's participation, calling it a "moment of great honor" for them.

He reaffirmed the importance of compassion and selfless service, principles advocated by Jesus Christ, and highlighted the role of institutions in aiding society. Last week, PM Modi celebrated Christmas at Union Minister George Kurian's home in Delhi, where he connected with members of the minority community.
