Property Linked to Pakistani Terror Handler Seized in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 7 (NationPress) The Jammu and Kashmir Police have confiscated a 4 Marlas of land in Syedabad Pastoona Tral, valued at lakhs of rupees, which is linked to a terror handler operating out of Pakistan, as reported by officials on Tuesday.

The individual identified as Mubashir Ahmad, a resident of Syedabad Pastuna Tral, has been implicated in this action.

This operation was conducted under Section 25 of the UAPA Act.

The police stated, "The property was recognized as being owned by a terror handler during an inquiry carried out by the Awantipora Police."

They further noted, "Significantly, the Pakistan-based terrorist handler Mubashir Ahmad plays a role in fostering and reviving terrorist activities by smuggling arms and ammunition to stimulate local terror networks. This operation underscores the unwavering commitment of Jammu and Kashmir Police to counter terror activities."

This action is part of a broader crackdown by Jammu and Kashmir Police against terrorists operating from Pakistan.

In a related initiative, on the same day, J&K Police seized property valued at Rs 1 crore under the Prevention of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Anantnag district.

Authorities revealed that Anantnag Police seized a double-storey residence belonging to Khurshid Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Gani Dar of Satkipora village, which was constructed on one Kanal of land and is valued at approximately Rs 1 crore, linked to drug trafficking proceeds.

On November 28, in another significant achievement against terror networks, District Police Kishtwar successfully confiscated properties of seven absconding terrorists currently believed to be operating from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan.

Security forces have been vigorously conducting anti-terror operations aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in J&K, targeting terrorists, their over-ground workers (OGWs), and sympathizers following a series of heinous attacks carried out after the peaceful and participatory Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections.

Intelligence agencies have indicated that the smooth conduct of elections, observed by diplomats from various countries, has hindered the plans of terror handlers stationed across the border in Pakistan. These agencies report that the terror handlers have instructed terrorists in J&K to make a final desperate attempt to revive terrorism in the Union Territory.
