Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Jaipur, March 18 (NationPress) A devastating road incident unfolded on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near the Balapura region of Kota on Wednesday, leading to the untimely demise of three young men traveling in a vehicle. The collision was so catastrophic that the car was utterly destroyed, leaving a scene filled with chaos and distress.
Reports indicate that the three companions were journeying in an SUV from Ladakh towards Mumbai. They have been identified as Siddhant (21), Kunal (25), and Mayureva (23), all residents of Pune.
Officials reported that the vehicle suddenly lost control near Thumda, roughly five kilometers away from Balapura. The driver, unable to manage the excessive speed, crashed through the divider and fell nearly 30 feet.
The force of the impact caused extensive damage to the vehicle. The area was filled with screams and pleas for assistance following the accident. Bystanders quickly notified the police and summoned an ambulance.
With help from locals, the victims were extracted from the wreckage, but sadly, all three had already succumbed to their injuries. Authorities arrived soon after the report, took charge of the bodies, and arranged for a post-mortem examination.
Initial investigations indicate that overspeeding and loss of control were the primary factors contributing to this tragedy. Investigators are continuing their inquiry and are in contact with the victims' families.
According to Manoj Sikarwar, the SHO of Kaithoon Police Station, Siddhant, Kunal, and Mayureva were residents of Pune returning home in a Fortuner SUV.
The group had set off for a trip to Leh-Ladakh on February 26, as part of a larger 10-member party, with others traveling in separate vehicles behind them.
After the incident, locals transported the injured men to the Kaithoon Community Health Centre (CHC). Dr. Rajesh Samar, the facility in-charge, confirmed that the victims had passed away before arriving at the hospital. Their bodies are now in the mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination.
