Bhopal, Feb 11 (NationPress) The Public Works Department (PWD) of Madhya Pradesh is set to conduct a workshop-cum-training program for engineers and technical officers involved in the construction sector at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal on Thursday.
Providing details about the event, Madhya Pradesh PWD Minister Rakesh Singh stated that approximately 2,000 engineers and technical officers from various entities, including the PWD, the Project Implementation Unit, the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation, and the Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation, will take part in the workshop.
The workshop will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who will also unveil a booklet and officially launch the Project Management System Portal–2.0 of the state PWD.
Offering insights into Portal–2.0, Singh mentioned that the platform has been developed by the Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation (MPBDC) as a state-of-the-art digital management tool aimed at enhancing project execution and monitoring.
“It guarantees systematic, transparent, and effective execution of all construction projects. This system implements a Responsible–Accountable–Timeline framework that accurately records the relevant officer, the authorized approving authority, and established timelines for each project, ensuring ongoing monitoring and accountability,” Singh explained.
The Minister revealed that nationally recognized experts will provide insights on subjects such as capacity building, green building concepts, modern construction technologies, quality control, and innovations in the construction industry.
“The capacity-building workshop will not only enhance the quality and efficiency of construction projects in the state but will also equip engineers and technical officers with the latest technical knowledge, quality-oriented construction processes, and principles of sustainable development,” he added.
In addition, the Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation and the Madhya Pradesh Building Development Corporation will enter into Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with prestigious institutions, including the Central Road Research Institute, the Indian Academy of Highway Engineers, the Engineering Staff College of India, the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and the School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal.
