Bengaluru, Aug 5 (NationPress) In a fierce denunciation, the Karnataka BJP unit has accused the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, of disparaging the armed forces and Operation Sindoor. They stated that his actions are bringing shame to the entire nation, prompting ridicule from foreign nations.

During a press briefing at the state BJP office, Jagannath Bhavan in Bengaluru, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, asserted, "Rahul Gandhi is a source of embarrassment for our country. Internationally, we are being mocked due to the behavior of our political figures. After a court ruling, if he had any regard for his dignity, he would have resigned by now."

He further emphasized that Gandhi's actions are unsuitable for this nation, urging for his immediate resignation.

"Congress leaders are engaging in actions that undermine the nation's stability. The law applies to everyone equally. How can Congress challenge judicial decisions? Is this not anti-democratic and unconstitutional?" he queried.

"You frequently speak about B.R. Ambedkar, but do you genuinely honor the Constitution he provided us?" BJP leader Narayanaswamy challenged.

"As the Leader of the Opposition, what is Rahul Gandhi actually accomplishing? It’s time to reconsider the validity of his position in the Lok Sabha. The Congress party seems to support his irrational behavior," he remarked.

He also noted, "When a court ruling favors Congress, they celebrate it as a triumph for democracy and adherence to the law. However, if the ruling contradicts their views, they claim democracy is in jeopardy and the Constitution is threatened. Such political double standards are unique to Congress."

Narayanaswamy criticized Congress MLC B.K. Hariprasad for tweeting against the judiciary in support of Rahul Gandhi.

Referring to a court's dismissal of the saffron terror case due to insufficient evidence, he stated, "Even this was opposed by Minister Priyanka Kharge. What respect does Congress have left for the judiciary or the Constitution? Yet, they preach to us."

"B.K. Hariprasad and Priyanka Kharge owe an apology to the populace. If they fail to do so, they are unfit to remain in political office," BJP leader Narayanaswamy added.

He questioned, "Why did the court inquire if it is appropriate for someone who is a citizen to make such statements? Does Rahul Gandhi possess superior knowledge about our nation than its own government? He claims China has seized over 20,000 square kilometers of land. Did the President of China inform him? Why is he spreading falsehoods?"

He accused Congress of perpetually attempting to divide the country, asserting, "This has been their legacy from the beginning."

"Congress imposed an Emergency, disregarding a court decision that revealed electoral malpractice. They continue to disseminate falsehoods and mislead the public through negative politics. Rahul Gandhi is tarnishing the nation's reputation," he concluded.

Point of View

It is crucial to acknowledge the concerns raised by various political leaders regarding public discourse and its impact on national integrity. While critiques of opposition figures are common in democratic societies, the emphasis should be on fostering respectful dialogue that upholds the principles of accountability and truthfulness in governance.
