Jaipur, June 18 (NationPress) Rajasthan BJP chief Madan Rathore asserted on Wednesday that the Congress party is making unfounded allegations to conceal internal strife and accused the venerable party of trying to distract the public.
“The Congress has a historical pattern of authoritarianism, while the BJP is committed to democratic principles. By making unfounded accusations against the BJP, Congress leaders are attempting to mask their own party’s internal conflicts,” he stated.
Using election results to emphasize the BJP’s public endorsement, he remarked, “While Congress has managed to win only four by-elections, the BJP has triumphantly claimed 29 victories, a clear sign of public confidence and Congress’s waning influence.”
In response to comments made by Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra regarding the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC), Rathore insisted that the RPSC is an independent constitutional entity, free from BJP political interference.
“It was Dotasra who misused his authority to ensure the selection of his own family members in the RPSC, putting himself under scrutiny and generating unnecessary controversy surrounding the chosen candidates,” he claimed.
Rathore further contended that the BJP only highlighted students' concerns to the RPSC, stating that providing feedback is one thing, but meddling is entirely different, a practice the BJP does not engage in.
He also charged Congress with misleading the public with deceptive narratives. “The Congress lacks substantive issues to present to the electorate and is now resorting to false statements. Instead of tackling their internal turmoil, they are attempting to mislead the people of Rajasthan,” he asserted.
He highlighted the organizational discipline and unity within the BJP, stating, “In our party, every member supports one another. There is mutual respect and collaboration. In contrast, Congress is plagued by internal disputes and leadership struggles.”
Addressing criticisms from Congress leaders concerning national security, Rathore stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear that there will be no negotiations concerning terrorism. India’s resolute position has even forced Pakistani military officials to apologize, request a ceasefire, and seek dialogue on our terms.”
