Jaipur, Feb 24 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reiterated the state government's dedication to farmer welfare during the national event, Kisan Samman Samaroh, hosted at the State Agricultural Management Institute in Jaipur.

Participating via virtual means, he stressed that his administration is committed to ensuring the service, progress, and prosperity of farmers and livestock owners. He pledged that every effort will be exerted to realize the Prime Minister’s vision for farmer upliftment.

Extending congratulations to the recipients of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, he declared that over ₹1,400 crore has been transferred as the 19th instalment to more than 72 lakh farmers throughout Rajasthan. He mentioned that this initiative symbolizes the Prime Minister’s dedication to making farmers prosperous, reinforcing the nation's confidence in his leadership.

To enhance support for farmers, he announced an increment in the Kisan Samman Nidhi amount to ₹9,000 per farmer. Up to this point, over ₹1,355 crore has been dispensed to more than 70 lakh farmers under this scheme. Furthermore, the government has extended short-term crop loans exceeding ₹25,000 crore to over 46 lakh farmers.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, insurance claims amounting to ₹3,100 crore have been resolved, ensuring financial security for farmers impacted by crop loss.

He noted that Rajasthan holds the top position in the nation for Shri Ann Millet production, significantly aiding farmers due to the Prime Minister’s initiatives. To further promote millet-based agriculture, the state government intends to establish Shri Ann-based product outlets in every district.

During the event, the Chief Minister distributed cheques to farmers under various welfare programs. He also inaugurated an agricultural exhibition organized by the Agriculture Department, exploring stalls and displays set up by various agricultural organizations.

The ceremony was attended by Agriculture Minister Kirodi Lal Meena, Minister of State for Cooperation Gautam Kumar Dak, MP Manju Sharma, Cooperation Secretary Manju Rajpal, Agriculture Secretary Rajan Vishal, along with numerous officials and a large assembly of farmers.
