Jaipur, Aug 1 (NationPress) Severe rainfall in Rajasthan has resulted in catastrophic events. In Dholpur, a driver and his assistant, alongside a mini-truck, were carried away early Friday morning. The vehicle was submerged in the Parvati river at the Ranoli culvert within the Maniyan police station jurisdiction. Tragically, the driver and assistant also drowned with the vehicle.
Fortunately, a labourer and a contractor who were also in the vehicle were rescued at the last moment, while efforts to locate the bodies of the driver and cleaner are ongoing, according to officials.
In the Jasnagar area of Nagaur district, the local administration has been compelled to close National Highway-458 for the third time in just 12 days, as the Luni river's waters are currently measuring 6 inches above the Jasnagar culvert.
