Jaipur, Oct 10 (NationPress) The Jhunjhunu police, in collaboration with the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Pilani police, successfully seized 365.7 kg of stolen silver valued at approximately Rs 6.4 crore and apprehended three individuals related to this case, officials confirmed on Friday.
This silver, suspected to have been stolen from Chennai, was found concealed in a residence in Pilani, located in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district.
Under the directive of Superintendent of Police (SP) Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay and the oversight of Assistant Superintendent of Police Devendra Singh Rajawat and Circle Officer Vikas Dhindhwal, the operation was executed by AGTF In-charge SHO Ranjeet Singh Sevda.
The suspects have been identified as Vikas Jangid (33), a resident of Keharpura Khurd (Jhunjhunu), Nikhil Jangid (24), also from Keharpura Khurd, and Rajbir Jangid (31), who resides in Badi Thirpali (Churu).
Following the orders of SP Upadhyay, the AGTF and Pilani police carried out this operation discreetly.
Information received from the Chennai police led the AGTF team to initiate a pursuit of the suspects, examining numerous CCTV feeds from Jaipur to Pilani and using technical intelligence to locate the criminals.
After extensive efforts, the AGTF team identified the residence of Dharampal Jangid in a neighborhood on Rajgarh Road.
During the raid on the premises, a stash of silver was discovered hidden inside.
