Jaipur, March 24 (NationPress) Underlining the significance of faith-oriented infrastructure, the Rajasthan government is placing a strong emphasis on enhancing pilgrimage locations throughout the state, as stated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. During the Purnahuti (final ceremony) of the Shri Lalita Mahayagya and the Prana Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of the Goddess Saraswati Temple at Kanana Shri Math in Balotra on Tuesday, he remarked that such spiritual events foster social unity and engage the younger generation with their cultural roots.
He pointed out the religious importance of Balotra, noting that its pilgrimage sites act as protectors of the state’s rich traditions and that the Kanana Math holds a profoundly spiritual presence.
The Chief Minister acknowledged that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has experienced a significant shift in its cultural and religious landscape.
He referenced key initiatives like the Prana Pratishtha of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor in Varanasi, the Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain, and the enhancement of facilities at major pilgrimage sites through the PRASAD scheme.
Sharma mentioned that through the Varishth Nagarik Teerth Yatra Yojana, senior citizens are granted free pilgrimage opportunities, while the Mukhyamantri Vikasit Gram evam Ward Yojana is facilitating systematic improvements of religious sites statewide.
Minister for Devasthan, Joraram Kumawat, pointed out that the state government is actively endorsing Sanatan traditions and cultural heritage, with the celebration of Rajasthan Day on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada exemplifying this commitment.
Mahant Parashuram Giri Maharaj welcomed the Chief Minister and commended the government’s initiatives for public welfare.
He noted that such religious congregations embody the spirit of Sanatan culture and Akhand Bharat, highlighting India’s pivotal role in promoting global peace and harmony.
Earlier, the Chief Minister conducted the Purnahuti of the year-long Shri Lalita Mahayagya, honoring saints and Mahants from across the nation with traditional offerings.
In gratitude, Mahant Parashuram Giri Maharaj presented a Shri Yantra to the Chief Minister.
The event saw attendance from Minister of State (Independent Charge) K.K. Bishnoi, MLA Hamir Singh Bhayal, Mahant Pratap Puri, Aduram Meghwal, Arun Chaudhary, alongside other public figures, saints, and numerous devotees.
