Jaipur, March 30 (NationPress) The academic year 2026–27 for Rajasthan's government schools is set to kick off on April 1, infused with renewed zeal and extensive community involvement. To celebrate this launch, the state is hosting Praveshotsav 2026, a comprehensive campaign designed to boost enrolment, minimize dropout figures, and guarantee that every child has access to education, as outlined by officials on Monday.

The Education Department has finalized all essential preparations and disseminated directives from the state to local schools to guarantee a seamless rollout. This year's Praveshotsav is not merely a ceremonial occasion but a dedicated effort to integrate every child into the educational system. A significant aspect of this initiative is an intensive door-to-door outreach campaign.

According to a phased schedule on March 27, April 6, April 10, and April 15, teams consisting of Anganwadi workers, educators, school personnel, and local representatives will visit homes to identify children between 3 and 18 years old to ensure their enrolment. Officials emphasized that this extensive initiative aims to prevent any child from being excluded from the educational framework and to promote awareness about schooling in every household.

A recent Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) has established a robust foundation for the campaign. Education Minister Madan Dilawar, ACS (Education) Rajesh Yadav, and Director Sitaram Jat personally assessed school readiness and fostered communication between parents and educators. This initiative has enhanced transparency and built greater trust among parents in government schools.

In a significant advancement, teaching will commence in full from the very first day of the session. The department has assured the timely distribution of textbooks, with most supplies delivered to districts by March 25 and the remainder by April 1. This commitment ensures the goal of “learning from day one” is realized in all government schools.

To foster holistic growth, a digital health check-up campaign will launch on April 16. Students will undergo regular health assessments, with necessary medical assistance provided. Additionally, specialized academic activities are scheduled for May to enhance foundational learning and boost educational outcomes.

In recent years, government schools in Rajasthan have witnessed notable improvements, including trained educators, enhanced infrastructure, smart classrooms, ICT labs, activity-based learning, sports facilities, vocational education, and digital libraries. Scholarships and incentive programs also motivate students to excel, establishing government schools as reliable centers for quality education.

The Education Department has instructed all officials to diligently work to ensure that no child is deprived of education. Parents are encouraged to enroll their children in local government schools, with particular emphasis on enrolling children aged 5 to 6 into Class 1, especially those transitioning from Anganwadi centers.

With the theme “Education Begins with the Start of the Academic Session,” Praveshotsav 2026 is transforming into a mass movement throughout Rajasthan—aimed at reaching every household, enrolling every child, and fortifying the foundational future of the state through education.
