Rajasthan Minister Dilawar Advocates for Government Schools Over Private Institutions
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Jaipur, March 31 (NationPress) The Rajasthan government is set to initiate its yearly 'Pravesh Utsav' (Admission Festival) in all public schools statewide starting Wednesday. Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar has emphasized the need for a collective effort to guarantee that every child is integrated into the educational framework.
In a directive issued to the Education department, Dilawar stated on Tuesday that educators are mandated to conduct outreach campaigns in neighborhoods to encourage new student enrollments and inspire parents to consider government schools for their children.
Making a compelling argument for public education in Rajasthan, the Minister declared that government schools excel over private institutions in aspects of both facilities and affordability.
"While private schools demand exorbitant fees, government schools offer quality education that includes textbooks, uniforms, mid-day meals, laptops, bicycles, and scholarships—all at no charge," he stated.
Minister Dilawar highlighted that teachers in government schools are not only well-educated but also professionally trained, with ongoing efforts to enhance infrastructure.
"We are developing modern school facilities, smart classrooms, and fully equipped laboratories designed to meet, and often exceed, the standards of private schools," he added.
He urged parents throughout Rajasthan to take advantage of these offerings and enroll their children in local government schools.
Reiterating the government's commitment to fortifying the public education system, Dilawar affirmed that efforts are being made to make education more accessible and inclusive.
The Minister made these remarks during the inauguration of a newly constructed building at the Government Senior Secondary School in Vati, located in the Badgaon Panchayat Samiti of Udaipur district.
This initiative has been supported by the IIFL Foundation, which has adopted 102 schools in the Udaipur region.
Attending the event were IIFL Foundation Chairman Nirmal Jain, Director Madhu Jain, Udaipur Rural MLA Phoolchand Meena, BJP Rural District President Pushkar Teli, and BJP City District President Gajpal Singh Rathore.
The 'Pravesh Utsav' aims to enhance enrollment rates and strengthen foundational education as the new academic year commences.
