Jaipur, Oct 21 (NationPress) Rajasthan is on the verge of inaugurating its very first electric bus (e-bus) manufacturing facility in the Ghiloth Industrial Area of Neemrana tehsil, in the Kotputli-Behror district.

The state government has promptly allocated 265,329 square metres (65.56 acres) of land for this ambitious project through RIICO, following an MoU signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.

PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is spearheading the establishment of this plant with an initial investment estimated at around Rs 1,200 crore.

In addition to assembly, the facility will produce bus bodies, electric motors, batteries, wire harnesses, and various essential components.

A delegation from PMI Electro Mobility Solutions met with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma at his residence on Tuesday, expressing appreciation for the expedited land allocation.

During this meeting, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's dedication to fostering industrial growth, job creation, and enhancing core infrastructure in Rajasthan.

He remarked that this plant represents a crucial advancement toward fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Make in India'.

"This initiative will bolster Rajasthan's status as a premier hub for electric vehicle manufacturing in India," stated CM Sharma.

Furthermore, he noted that the project will generate numerous direct and indirect job opportunities for the youth of the state, who will also receive training in the emerging sector of electromobility.

The Chief Minister underscored that the introduction of e-buses will not only promote green energy but will also facilitate sustainable urban transportation and contribute to a cleaner environment.

Officials from the CMO stated that the desert state is embarking on a new chapter of green transportation with the launch of this facility.

"A new era of e-bus manufacturing is dawning in Jaipur, Rajasthan, providing a fresh perspective on green transportation. The nation's cutting-edge electric bus manufacturing plant will be situated in Ghiloth, Behror. A total of 65 acres of land has been designated to PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. for this monumental venture. The plant's establishment will involve a total investment of Rs 1,200 crore, marking one of Rajasthan's most significant industrial endeavors."

During the discussions, participants engaged in extensive conversations about e-bus manufacturing, green technology, and the vision for sustainable mobility.

Chief Minister Sharma remarked, "This project will endow Rajasthan with a new identity in the realm of green transportation."

He added that Rajasthan is poised to emerge as a leading state in the e-mobility sector, in alignment with the 'Make in India' mission.

Officials indicated that e-bus services would soon commence in Rajasthan, providing residents with modern, clean, and efficient public transportation options. The plant will support the nationwide supply of e-buses at competitive rates, thereby contributing to the electric mobility ecosystem.

They mentioned that thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities would be created for the state's youth, and the project would invigorate the local economy while opening new avenues for technical training in electromobility.

Moreover, this initiative is expected to promote environmental conservation and renewable energy, positioning the state as a hub of green innovation, representing a historic stride toward reducing pollution and endorsing sustainable development.

The Chief Minister concluded, "The inauguration of the e-bus plant signifies the commencement of a new chapter in Rajasthan's green industrial revolution."
