Jaipur, June 14 (NationPress) As the Iran-Israel conflict intensifies, numerous nations have halted international flights due to rising security issues. This situation has resulted in many Indian nationals being stranded overseas, including 61 individuals from Rajasthan, among whom is Mangalam Group Chairman N.K. Gupta and his spouse. The stranded group was attending a professional gathering in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The delegation primarily consisted of Chartered Accountants (CAs) and their families participating in a Residential Refresher Course organized by the Rajasthan Tax Consultants Association.
Comprising a total of 65 participants — including 29 CAs with their families — the group departed from Jaipur on June 8. It included 60 members from Jaipur, along with one CA each from Jaisalmer and Kota, along with their spouses and children.
CA Bhavik Bhatia from Jaisalmer, who is with his wife and child, is among those stranded. He has publicly requested the Indian government for urgent evacuation through a video message sent from Georgia.
In addition, Bhavik has directly tweeted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar, and other officials for immediate help.
Even though there is no active conflict in Georgia, the group feels anxious due to the ongoing geopolitical tensions and disruption of flight services.
The group was initially scheduled to return to Jaipur via Sharjah on June 13, with their flight expected to arrive on June 14 at 4:45 AM.
However, operations have been suspended due to the conflict, leaving all 61 Rajasthanis stranded in Georgia.
Speaking to the media, Rajasthan Tax Consultants Association President Ratan Goyal confirmed the predicament and urged both the Indian government and state authorities to take action to ensure the safe return of all members.
He highlighted that while everyone is currently safe and accommodated in a hotel, there is a pressing desire to return home due to escalating concerns over the regional conflict.
Meanwhile, Bhavik’s father, Pramod Bhatia, has expressed profound anxiety and is calling on the government to facilitate the prompt evacuation of his son, daughter-in-law, and grandson.
Among those stranded is also Mangalam Group Chairman CA N.K. Gupta and his wife, underscoring the seriousness of the situation and the urgent need for diplomatic efforts.
