New Delhi, Aug 4 (NationPress) Rani Kapur, the former Chairperson of Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar), has formally requested that UK authorities undertake a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding her son, Sunjay Kapur’s death. She expressed concerns that this tragic event may not have been a result of natural causes or an accident, but could involve foul play, including the potential for murder, abetment, conspiracy, fraud, and forgery.
In her official correspondence to the UK authorities, Rani Kapur emphasized the need for a detailed examination into the events leading to his death. Her son was a US citizen of Indian descent, deeply connected personally and professionally across various countries including the UK, USA, Singapore, Germany, and India. As a high-net-worth individual, he was engaged in numerous business ventures and held assets across multiple jurisdictions.
"I feel it is urgent to bring to your attention credible evidence that suggests his death may not have been natural or accidental, but rather involved serious crimes such as murder, abetment, conspiracy, fraud, and forgery. Given that he passed away at Duke’s Ground of Old Guards Polo Club, it appears some of these activities may have transpired in the UK, particularly under the jurisdiction of Surrey Police," Rani Kapur stated in her appeal.
Sunjay Kapur tragically passed away on June 12 during a polo match in England. Reports indicate that he suffered a fatal cardiac arrest after accidentally ingesting a bee, which caused a severe allergic reaction.
Additionally, she noted in her appeal that since his death, she has obtained records and uncovered facts that suggest the existence of potentially forged legal and financial documents, questionable asset transfers, and suspicious legal proceedings, indicating possible coercion or collusion among individuals who stood to benefit financially from his death.
Rani Kapur further asserted that there are significant reasons to suspect that "his death may have been orchestrated as part of a coordinated international conspiracy involving individuals and organizations in the UK, India, and possibly the United States."
Given the seriousness of this situation and the potential for various offenses under UK law, including murder, conspiracy to commit a crime, fraud, forgery, and obstruction of justice, she has respectfully called for the immediate filing of a formal complaint and the launching of a criminal investigation into the circumstances of her son’s death.
Rani Kapur has also urged UK authorities to secure and preserve all relevant evidence, including medical records, digital communications, financial documents, and any CCTV or forensic evidence from the site of death. She has requested collaboration with Indian and US authorities where necessary to explore the potential international dimensions of the case, and to conduct a forensic audit of her son’s financial and legal matters in the UK following his passing.
In a recent statement, Sona Comstar clarified that Rani Kapur has had no involvement, directly or indirectly, with the company since at least 2019 and holds no standing regarding any matters related to it. The Haryana-based company confirmed that she is neither a shareholder, director, nor officer of the company.
