The attackers stabbed him multiple times and shot him, resulting in his immediate death.
This shocking incident in broad daylight left the local community in disbelief. Law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene, transporting the body for a forensic examination.
A sharp weapon was discovered at the crime scene.
A murder case has been filed at the Jawahar Nagar Police Station under the Rachakonda Commissionerate. Authorities are working to identify the perpetrators by reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
It appears that the assailants, who were in a vehicle, pursued Venkatratnam before opening fire and ultimately killing him.
Known as a repeat offender from the Dhoolpet region, Venkatratnam had previously been implicated in a double murder case.
Police are investigating the possibility that this murder was an act of vengeance by the relatives of the victims from that previous case.
This marks the second murder in the city within a week. On December 4, a 28-year-old was similarly killed at Rein Bazar in the old city.
Junaid Bin Mohammad Baharmoos was also attacked while riding a motorcycle, where two individuals assaulted him with sharp weapons, resulting in severe injuries. He was taken to a private hospital in Malakpet, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities are currently searching for five suspects in this case, two of whom have been identified as Ali Bin Hamza and Omar Bin Hamza, sons of a known criminal.
Junaid’s murder allegedly stemmed from a conflict between two groups over property rights.
